Green Devil Golfers continue to improve on a weekly basis. Last week the team played at the 23rd ranked of top 100 golf courses in the United States. The South Central Golf Conference Meet was held on The Woodlands 18-hole course at Lawsonia. Coming into the meet, Adams-Friendship finished ahead of Nekoosa at the Arrowhead Golf Course.

The athletes on the Adams-Friendship Track and Field roster continue to improve as individuals as the spring season moves forward. Last week, the team took to the track at Reedsburg in the Betsy DeMerit Invitational. The Green Devils had several individual efforts that included personal bests. Adams-Friendship was among ten teams at the invite.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) urges operators of all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and utility terrain vehicles (UTV) to stay safe and enjoy the ride by following safety best practices.

After shooting a 262 as a team a week earlier. The Adams-Friendship High School Golf Team improved to a score of 239 at Trapper’s Turn in Wisconsin Dells in a Conference Match. Some of the big improvements came from Jayme Rubeck who shot a 49 after shooting 54 the week prior in Westfield.

The Adams-Friendship Green Devil Softball Team had a busy six game week last week. Offense was a struggle on Tuesday as the team was held to just two hits in a loss at Nekoosa. Makenzie Armstrong pitched a complete game allowing just two earned runs in a 4-0 loss to the Papermakers.

Adams-Friendship Baseball is off to a 5-1 record overall after winning two more games last week. South Central Conference play opened with a trip to Westfield. The game was locked into a pitchers duel as Chrystain Quinnell and Cole Barton had hitters on their heels with good fastballs and a 0-0 tie through two innings.  

This past week, the Green Devil track teams were able to compete at Westfield and Spencer. The athletes continue to improve and try new events. As a team, both of the  boys’ and girls’ teams placed 4th out of 4 teams at Westfield.  At Spencer, the boys placed 8th out of 9 teams and the girls placed 7th out of 9 teams.

 After not having a season in 2020, long strings of quarantines and disruptions to the pre-season, and a late start to the 2021 regular season, AF staked their claim at their first Varsity game this spring. “The last time our girls faced Portage/Poynette was in the spring of 2019 and it was the first tough game of that season.

Last Friday the golf team competed in a South Central Conference Meet at Northern Bay. Varsity Golfers at the meet were Jaymie Rubeck, Anna Dahlke, Zach Presley, Blayde Wallner, and Aidan Livingston.

The Adams-Friendship Baseball Team got off to a perfect start over the weekend during the Woodside Challenge. This would not be easy in the first game as the team started off down 4-1 to Waterloo heading into the final inning.
