For the 17th straight summer, Rick Ronneberg has put together one of the more premier youth softball tournaments in the area. What is known as the Chick’s tournament (taken after Ronneberg’s nickname Chicky) has become a staple of the Adams-Friendship community.

Things started awfully slow this summer for the 14u baseball program. After not winning a game in their first two tournaments, the team came into Holmen and knocked off the host team on Saturday afternoon. Eli Cole threw strikes all afternoon and used his defense to keep the young Viking team in check for five innings.
The Adams-Friendship Girls Softball team had their offense clicking on all cylinders in the summer opener against Omro. The Green Devils knocked around 16 hits offensively to go up 18-1 on the Foxes before coasting to an 18-12 victory. Natalie Jackson pitched the first four innings only allowing one run on two hits while walking three batters.
