Facing eight counts of burglary in Adams County, Daniel Schafer appeared in Adams County Court on Mar. 23. Schafer had already been sentenced to seven years in prison for multiple burglary charges in Waushara County, and to five years in prison in Portage County for similar charges.

Jacob Czerkas, age 43, of New Haven, appeared in Adams County Court on Mar. 17 facing charges of battery, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

Leslie Ann Reher, age 38, of the Town of Adams, appeared in Adams County Court on Feb. 17 facing 16 counts for acts committed over approximately six months including possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, felony bail jumping, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and more.

The City of Adams Police Department has received information of a scam that is occurring related to unemployment. The scam involves a text message being sent stating that the recipient may be eligible for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance with a link to a site requesting personal identifying information.
