The Town of Jackson Board held a public hearing about opening all town roads to ATV/UTV traffic and whether to adopt the county restrictions on ATV/UTV operators.  The hearing took place in the outside pavilion at the Oxford VFW on Saturday, July 24, 2021.  About 25 people attended the meeting.  Copies of the first and third pages of the county

James Siegert, age 37, of Adams, was convicted by a jury on three counts last Friday including first degree reckless homicide in a 2018 fentanyl overdose that led to the death of McKenzie Matrick who was approximately 21 at the time. The reckless homicide charge, a Class C felony, carries a maximum of 40 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

Troy Winters, age 49, of Adams, was sentenced on July 14 in Adams County Court for his second OWI. His first OWI was in 2019.

On July 14, 2021, Jeffrey Pearson, 50, from Portage, Wisconsin, tried to evade arrest and lead the Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies on a chase across Marquette County.  At 9:20 PM, dispatch received a call that an individual identified as Jeffrey Pearson was destroying a house in Montello and was looking for a fire arm in the residence.  When

Joseph Paulina, age 64, of Quincy appeared in Adams County Court facing charges of strangulation, battery, and disorderly conduct on July 7.

Joseph Kornowski, age 21, of Springville, appeared in Adams County Court on July 6 facing multiple disorderly conduct and bail jumping charges. Kornowski was already out on bond for three previous incidents going back to 2019.

After violating the terms of his probation in a drug-related matter from 2017, Bradley Schoeffling, age 50, of Arkdale, was sentenced to state prison on July 8 in Adams County Court.
