The Friendship Connection at 117 S. Main Street in Adams is open for business. They are happy to say that they survived the COVID-19 lockdown and are ready for customers. They are in their 6th year on Main Street, moving-in in 2015.

Good weather has kept construction of the new YMCA in the City of Adams on track. The new facility is still scheduled to open on Sept.1, 2021

As Americans, we believe in justice for all. Yet we fail to live up to this promise when we allow older members of our society to be abused or neglected. Older people are vital, contributing members of American society and their maltreatment diminishes all of us.

The Adams Friendship High School 2021 National Honor Society Induction Ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 26th at the AFHS Fine Arts Center.  

In preparation for new census data, seven members were selected to the Ad Hoc Redistricting Committee at the May 18 County Board of Supervisors meeting.

The TEMA (Technology Education and Manufacturing Academy) Class of 2021 Seniors participated in a Capstone event at the AFHS Fine Arts Center on Wednesday May 19th.    

After eleven years of dedicated service to the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, K9 Mieka submitted her letter of retirement to Sheriff Brent R. York on May 13, 2021. She has proudly walked beside her partner and best friend K9 Deputy Craig Orlowski as they served the Adams County area.  

The City of Adams City Council combined and refinanced its water system bonds and sewer system bonds at its May 17 meeting, saving the city approximately $1.9 million over the 20-year life of the bonds.
