Rosemary Bredesen and Edward Heideman were honored as the Parade Marshalls in the Annual 4th of July Parade sponsored by the A-F VFW Post 6279 and Auxiliary.  Bredesen represented the VFW Post 6279 Auxiliary’s 70th year and the VFW Post 6279’s 75

President Tony Sindelar the called the meeting to order and roll call was taken.  Board member Bob Berry was absent.

Ed Heideman of Friendship was asked to be one of the Grand Marshalls of the Adams 4th of July Parade.  Ed, who grew up in Algonquin Illinois and attended high school in Dundee, Illinois, was drafted into the Army in 1965 and sent to Vietnam.

It is with a sad and heavy heart that the Adams County Sheriff’s Office announce the passing of retired K9 Deputy Mieka. Mieka passed away on June 11th after a courageous battle with cancer.
