Library hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m., Tuesday 9:00a.m.-7:00p.m., and Thursday 1:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Saturday 10:00-2:00. Curbside/walkup service also available. Social distancing is suggested and face masks are optional.

We are two weeks away from the beginning of the school year.  We have new teacher orientation this week and our all-staff inservice will begin the week of August 23rd.  Most of our athletic teams have started practicing and competitions are just around the corner.  Also, many of our clubs and activities have been busy meeting since the beginning

School Board Adopts New Health Curriculum

President Rick Pease called the monthly meeting of the Adams-Friendship Area School District’s Board of Education to order at 7pm in the A-F Fine Arts Center. All Board Members were present with the exception of Lena Hamilton who was excused. After the Pledge of Allegiance, board members adopted the agenda and meeting continued.

Shakespeare in the Park at Roche-A-Cri State Park

The Summit Players, is America’s only traveling Shakespeare in the State Parks troupe.  It is a traveling, non-profit theatre company that brings free Shakespeare shows and workshops to the Wisconsin State Parks. The shows are perfect for any age and are family friendly entertainment.

Births

Shanda and Cody Sletten of New Lisbon are the parents of a baby girl, ShyAnna Bonnie Sletten, born June 30 at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston.  She weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounce and measured 18 ¼ inches.  Maternal grandparents are Bonnie Akerberg and Tom Litkea of New Lisbon.  Paternal grandparents are Dawn and Randy Sletten of Wilton.

Summit Players Theatre Coming to Roche-A-Cri State Park July 25

Wisconsin-based traveling theatre company Summit Players Theatre is returning to live, outdoor performance after a year off due to COVID-19 and will be performing Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale from June 12 to August 22 in 24 different Wisconsin State Parks. All performances will be free and preceded by a 45-minute educational workshop.
