On August 1, 2021, at approximately 5:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Petenwell Lake near 20th Aveand Chicago Avenue in the Town of Strongs Prairie for two missing boaters. Witnesses reported a juvenilefemale and her father had jumped into the water and not resurfaced.

The Village of Friendship took up the matter of the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds it received at its August 2 meeting. The Village will receive a total $68,767.24 from the federal government to help offset the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To help kick off football season and reunite fans with some of their favorite Packers alumni, the Packers announced that several members of the Super Bowl XLV championship team would be taking a “Packers Road Trip” to visit with fans at surprise locations around Wisconsin from July 22-25.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office welcomed two new members to the Office, recently. Two new K9 members. K9 Tesla and K9 Lana, both two year old Malinois’, have been paired up and are on the job. Deputy Craig Orlowski has been partnered with K9 Tekla and Deputy Walker Kierstyn, who was recently promoted, now works with K9 Lana.

The 45th Annual Roche a Cri Lions Rec Days was held on Saturday and Sunday July 17 and 18.  The weather was beautiful for this event and everyone had a great time with sports, a parade, food, music and fun!

Emily Dahlke from the Adams-Friendship FFA Chapter was elected to a year of service as the 2021-2022 Section Six State FFA Officer during the 92nd Wisconsin FFA Convention.  Rebecca Grabarski is her advisor and her parents are Pam and Rich Dahlke.

The progress on the new Adams YMCA is on schedule. Construction on the building started mid-March and is expected to be completed by mid-August. The Y is anticipating grand opening of the facility on, or near, August 30th.
